It is tonic & astringent, helps soothe inflamed blood vessels – so this may be beneficial in cases of rosacea, headache or break outs. Rose has ORAC (antioxidant) value of 160,400 uTE/100g. The lavender – grown in mountains of Bulgaria – is therapeutic with analgesic properties. I prepare the rosemary variety without almond oil for those with allergy. It is made instead with organic flax seed oil. And calendulas, of course. All the salves contain Calendula.

THIS IS JUST A PICTURE.
The lovely calendula flowers capture healing energy of the sun – only look at the colors! They are grown organically in Southwest Florida. The calendula tinctures ‘cure’ for 2 to 3 years, so there is much potency collected from the flower into the alcohol. The alcohol dissipates upon being blended with the organic oils. I do not filter out all the calendula petals. This is intentional. If you are lucky, you may find one or two inside your salve!
