Ylang Ylang with Black Seed has a combination of spice, tropics and flower. Black Cumin Seed oil works with the calendula and other healing oils to help fight acne, eczema or other irritation. It is an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and quite therapeutic. Floral Ylang ylang – native to Malaysia, the Solomon Islands, Thailand – has a calming aroma (the scent can be compared with jasmine); it will soothe immediately. Coconut oil replaces the olive oil in this recipe; I’m sending you to distant lands.

Ylang ylang is whispered about for its sexual benefit, also for helping with sleep, so it sounds like a good choice for nighttime.
Remember, with the natural butters – mango and shea – one may sometimes expect graininess in the salve. Just use it as usual.
